Stephen is a founding member of the SJTC having served in various capacities since the company’s beginnings in 1990. He has directed, acted on stage, and overseen the implementation of a broad range of SJTC programming. Stephen’s work began as a volunteer, eventually becoming the Chair of the Board. In 2006, as the company embarked on the Princess Street development, Stephen stepped down from the Board and became the Executive Director, serving in that capacity until the present day. He currently serves on the Council of the International Amateur Theatre Association (AITA/IATA).
